In the coming months U-FLI will be running four tournaments with 30" base-board jumps.  This will be done to allow competitors to experience it, as well as allow us to collect information regarding the modification.  We will use the information collected moving forward in considering this possible change to our equipment standards. 

Our main reason for running this test sample is to promote safety in the sport.  As you know, with the speed of the sport increasing since we were formed, the speed of the impact of dogs who might collide in the jumps is greater.

After a complete review of the information we collect, any changes to our rules will be announced in advance; giving clubs ample time to make any necessary modifications to their existing equipment.
